Apple Clips will make videos with effects and Live Titles

Apple has a new app coming soon, called Clips. Made for iOS, it's a video making app to challenge the likes of Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat's for shareable social videos.

Clips has a dead simple way of capturing footage - press and hold on the big red Record button and release when you're done. Every clip you make gets added to your timeline where you can place photos and music too. Clips has a bunch of preinstalled tracks to go with just about every video.

Using Siri's dictation feature Clips can record your voice and create animated captions that are automatically synced to your on-screen talking.

Clips also supports the must-have emoji and effects you need to succeed in viral video making. What's great is that when your clip is done you can share it to all popular social networks.

Most of those socials have some sort of viral video feature - Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook, among others, let you easily make clips. iOS has its own iMovie and Memories in the gallery app. But knowing Apple's far-reaching influence we expect Clips to take off with users.

Apple's Clips will launch next month - iPhone 5S, iPad Air or a newer iOS device are required to join the fun.
