New iPad Pro tablets coming in early 2017 in 7.9", 10.1", and 12.9" sizes

Wondering when Apple plans on refreshing its tablet line once more? Well, according to a new rumor out of Japan, that won't happen this year. Instead, a well known source of Apple-related leaks and rumors claims we should expect three new iPad Pro models sometime in early 2017.

That's when we'll see the first 7.9-inch iPad Pro, launched as the successor to the iPad mini 4. This will come with the Smart Connector and quad speakers seen on other Pro-branded slates, as well as a 12 MP main camera with True Tone flash and a True Tone display.

The 9.7-inch iPad Pro from this spring will be replaced by a 10.1" device next year, the rumor goes on to say. Finally, the 12.9" size will stick around, but the next iPad Pro of this size will also get the updated camera and display of the 7.9-inch tablet. All three models will sport 3.5mm headset jacks, unlike the recently outed iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. No more details have been shared, but it seems plausible that the 2017 iPad Pro lineup will have three members with identical specs and features, and the only differences between them will relate to screen and battery size.
