Last month Huawei's online-only sub-brand Honor launched a new device in China - incidentally, its first to sport the ever-so-trendy 18:9 'tall' screen aspect ratio. It's the Honor 7X, and it comes with decent mid-range specs and a starting price of around $200 in China.
Today the company has revealed that it's getting ready to release the Honor 7X in other markets too, including the US and the UK. More information about the handset's international availability and pricing will arrive on December 5 at Honor's big event in London. So basically it's already confirming that one of the devices we'll see on that occasion is the Honor 7X.
The Honor 7X has a 5.93" 1,080x2,160 IPS touchscreen, the Kirin 659 chipset at the helm (with a 2.36 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU), 4GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, a dual 16 MP + 2 MP rear camera setup with LED flash, an 8 MP selfie shooter, and a 3,340 mAh battery. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 on top.
