The Moto G is gaining popularity because of its excellent build quality, solid specs, great performance, and relatively low price. The phone is available unlocked, but is also receiving support from carriers like Verizon, US Cellular, and Boost Mobile.

Now it looks like another carrier is picking up the popular smartphone: AT&T.

This is most likely a move made by AT&T to try and bolster their GoPhone prepaid line of phones. Perhaps the only drawback of the Moto G is that it is limited to 3G connectivity.

However, there is some evidence that may suggest an LTE Moto G is a reality. GFX Bench benchmarked a device called the Motorola XT1045, which has a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon CPU, and a 1280 x 720 display: the same as the Moto G's.

The XT1045's nickname is 'Peregine', and the product build is listed as 'peregrine_att', so that's how we know it's AT&T bound. There also have been rumors that the FCC passed a Moto G with LTE bands, so it is possible we'll get a Moto G with some serious data speed capabilities.

Again, as with all rumors, these need to be taken with a grain of salt, as nothing's proven. But the prospect of having an LTE capable stock-Google Moto G, all under $200 off-contract is extremely enticing indeed, don't you think?
